About

To me, a potted boxwood by the front door, or anywhere in the landscape, is a fairly certain declaration that what is inside is something worth seeing. While it might be true that it is what’s inside that counts, potted boxwood have the subtle ability to let you know it’s worth opening the door.

As a child, I was always stealing copies of my mother’s subscription to Southern Accents (RIP), and I have had an appreciation for tasteful and timeless design since. I believe in buying what you love and somehow making it all work together. I hope this blog will be a useful tool in inspiring design, creating ideas and showcasing the tremendous talent that exists in the world of interiors. From pretty packaging to stylish events to lush landscapes, chic design is truly everywhere.

  1. What a fabulous collection of closets! Love them all. A person could live in some of these! Great job for a first timer…keep up the great work!

  2. Loved the blue and white post. I have transitioned away from blue and white in my home but your post made me glad I kept all my wonderful collection of blue and white.
    It is timeless.

  3. Wow, this is a very good design blog. Thought the Orange County homes were a bit much but you have a great eye. I write about design occasionally for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. I’ll keep following you!

  4. Thank you so much for the kind words about this year’s Home for the Holidays. Yes, we also love Parker Kennedy’s porch. Our designers this year have just been beyond fabulous! Happy Holidays, Kimberly, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles
