I have been on a bit of a summer blogging vacation recently, but I came across a home so cheerful and charming that I had to share. British garden designer Butter Wakefield creates timeless and enchanting gardens, so it is no wonder that her home would be just that. A mix of playful patterns and classic furniture are the make-up for the most charming and effortless design.

I recently was in another wedding of a very close friend in the beautiful town of Winnetka, Illinois. It oozes the charm and ambience you would expect of a small town. Lovely, well-appointed homes with lush landscaping and a quaint town center. On the north shore of Chicago, small towns line up to create an enchanting summer backdrop for a lovely wedding in a wonderful town. I hope you find these photos timeless and inspiring.

The reception was held at a very charming country club.
There aren’t a lot of places to stay in the North Shore, but The Stone Terrace Bed & Breakfast is a newly opened option that is old-world elegance at it’s finest. Clean well-appointed and chic accommodations.
