Serenely Chic

I am pretty much obsessed with this Cape Town, South Africa home. It is designed by Serena Crawford, who has the magical ability to create graceful, natural, and superbly chic interiors. Her rooms flow with great natural energy, and the design feels fresh and timeless in the most ideal juxtaposition.

Comfortable without looking lazy (‘ya know what I mean).

This kitchen may be the best I have seen. Seriously. The blue & white, the contrast of wood and white, the collected design, and the warmth of the texture is all flawless.

Make Me Blush

Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and I figured I would give you some design to blush about!

Pink was my first favorite color, even when I pretended to be a “tom boy” and like green (like lime green, not boxwood green). While I was obviously not a tom boy, I loved pink and I still gravitate toward the color. I find it is often the only colorful solution for a pick-me-up. So whether you have someone to shower you with pink flowers, or if you want to have a little pink frosting of your own, enjoy some of my favorite shades of blush today.

The Super Chic Underdog

Note: At the point I was writing this, Atlanta was super ahead. Y’all know how much I love Nantucket…so get some New England Inspiration from my previous post!

Like many things that fall under “American Traditions,” Super Bowl Sunday is right up there. If you don’t watch it for the sport, you watch it for the commercials. If you don’t watch it for the commercials, you watch it for the halftime show. If you don’t watch it for the halftime show, you watch it for the food. You get my point, there is a reason to watch. While I didn’t have a favorite team in the mix, I did enjoy thinking about all the beautiful aspects of the locations of each time. New England has beautiful homes from Connecticut to Nantucket, and Atlanta has such a mecca of fabulous designers and tastemakers.

While they may not be the winner, I had to share some pictures of my favorite Atlanta homes. There is so much talent that exists in the Atlanta design world, and I thought I would highlight a few of the fabulous!

The Round Table

I love a round dining table. It is intimate for group conversation, while allowing for an abundant arrangement to be the focal point. My friend has a round dining table that is in need of some chairs. It is to this point that it is driving her husband crazy. A great big table, and nowhere to sit! I figured I would give her some sources of “chair-spiration” and also inspire all of you with some beautiful round tables. Because a round table discussion is the most important kind of talk.
