San Fran

I just came back from a lovely weekend visiting friends in San Francisco. Of course, a Saturday trip to Napa was also a very nice addition in what felt like an ideal weekend of clear blue skies, bright sunshine, and high seventies weather. Surprisingly enough, I even got sunburned sitting on the patio of a cafe for lunch (I am told that is not too common in San Fran).

There was so much overwhelming beauty in the high hillside views, from the waterfront to the various and distinctive architecture, there are all kinds of kinds in San Francisco- both people and houses included. I have for you here a roundup of some gorgeous curbside homes that are beyond beautiful and certainly beyond almost any budget. After all, it is one of the most expensive cities in the world, but is by no means lacking charm. It is easy to get breathless with the beauty of it all, although I am not sure that it is just the steep inclines of the hills. Judging by the pain in my calves and the overwhelming chic of these pictures, I have a feeling it is a bit of both.

I love the intimate privacy of this gated door. It was surrounded by a chic display of boxwood as well.

If you live where you can grow bougainvillea- do it! You will never need to paint again! They love, love the sun!

Can we just talk about this bubbly topiary plant goodness?! SO cool. Would look even more chic against white brick. San Fransisco House and Architecture by Christina Dandar for The Potted Boxwood 13

Beautiful details. Feels like a Dallas home from the looks of it.

Landscaping makes a big impact when you have a small front to work with (granted this is HUGE in San Fran).

My friend’s fiance first spotted this topiary rooftop garden. I was so grateful that he took me to see it in person (he took me to see all these homes actually).

A beautiful flower shop called “The Bud Shop” in my friend’s neighborhood. Overwhelmingly beautiful flowers.
