Serenely Chic

I am pretty much obsessed with this Cape Town, South Africa home. It is designed by Serena Crawford, who has the magical ability to create graceful, natural, and superbly chic interiors. Her rooms flow with great natural energy, and the design feels fresh and timeless in the most ideal juxtaposition.

Comfortable without looking lazy (‘ya know what I mean).

This kitchen may be the best I have seen. Seriously. The blue & white, the contrast of wood and white, the collected design, and the warmth of the texture is all flawless.

The Super Chic Underdog

Note: At the point I was writing this, Atlanta was super ahead. Y’all know how much I love Nantucket…so get some New England Inspiration from my previous post!

Like many things that fall under “American Traditions,” Super Bowl Sunday is right up there. If you don’t watch it for the sport, you watch it for the commercials. If you don’t watch it for the commercials, you watch it for the halftime show. If you don’t watch it for the halftime show, you watch it for the food. You get my point, there is a reason to watch. While I didn’t have a favorite team in the mix, I did enjoy thinking about all the beautiful aspects of the locations of each time. New England has beautiful homes from Connecticut to Nantucket, and Atlanta has such a mecca of fabulous designers and tastemakers.

While they may not be the winner, I had to share some pictures of my favorite Atlanta homes. There is so much talent that exists in the Atlanta design world, and I thought I would highlight a few of the fabulous!

Farmer Christmas

If you want great recipes and a great flair for southern aesthetic, James T. Farmer is your go-to guy. He gets it. He gets that a little bit of butter isn’t a bad thing. He understands that entertaining is an art, but it should also be a lot of fun. He just knows everything there is to know about the smart, eloquent, and lovely way to entertain (enough to make the “bless your heart Miss Clairee” type of southern lady swoon). Recently, Famer was featured in Southern Living. His home for the holidays is beyond enchanting, cozy, and perfectly tasteful. His beautiful home is everything I would want on a cold Christmas night. I think you will agree.

I love the abundance of this garland on the beautiful mantle. Seriously, look at all that detail!

Beautiful Farmdale Cottage. I seriously think all you need is garland and wreaths!

The wreaths!!

Beautiful and festive display in blue and white.

Rich and thick garland. Nothing skinny and puny about that!

‘Tis The Season

Between guests and parties and travel, I have been swamped (as I am sure is the same for you). I have been amazed at all the spirited Christmas talent I have seen on instagram recently.  They are truly inspiring images that have quickly put me in the Christmas spirit. As I spotted them, I captured them so I can share a round-up of some of my favorite designers and tastemakers getting ready for the swing of the holiday season! I will be back tomorrow (promise!). XOXO

More Gifts To Give

Okay, I need to slow my roll. Cyber Monday got the most of me (and my bank account). I will say it was well worth it!! I knocked out shower gifts, Christmas gifts, and mainly “me” gifts. What can I say, I wanted it anyway. Do you all buy for yourself? It is so hard not to- one for me, one for them.  I was pretty rushed with my Black Friday gift guide, so let me share some other favorite gifts that I am vying to give and receive.

Click pictures to purchase.

Amazing new coffee table books that will surely give inspiration.

Olive and Cocoa has amazing packaging in wooden boxes and makes really thoughtful gifts for literally anyone on your list!

Evelyn Henson makes some adorable prints, desktop backgrounds, and phone cases, but her mugs are something to sip on! She makes a plethora of city inspired mugs. Great gifts at a great price.

If you are reading The Potted Boxwood, you probably like Blue and White! Frontgate has this trio available at a great price!

What kid (or adult) wouldn’t like a giant tic-tac-toe??

So, this is pretty fabulous. You drop this ball in your glass of wine and it chills it to the perfect temperature within two minutes. Excuse me while I buy them all up…

Okay, this is my new obsession. It is SO fabulous and leaves your skin (and your mental state) feeling perfectly refreshed.

PVE Design makes the cutest prints. Her thank you notes are the best way to show your gratitude.

This is my go to 2pm refresher. I spritz this Rosewater daily to give my skin a peppy glow. This whole line is amazing- sans any harmful ingredients.

Move The Mountain is a great line of modern shirts with a scripture basis. You can literally wear your heart on your sleeve.

I love to prep my sleep! A lavender pillow spray and a deep soak bath. What a tremendous gift.

So this has been on my radar for awhile. I haven’t tried it yet, but apparently it is like a shot of vitamins for your face (meaning- it does a great job of keeping it healthy and glowing).
